Vervaardigd uit de beharing van deze
hologige Koning van het Oerwoud,
koloniaal herinneringsmiddel bij uitstek.

Wij Belgen, wij bezitten wel niet dat
ritmische tamtamgevoel van de neger,
maar zo gevoelig in onze woonkamer

Ontfermen wij ons over de kokosmat,
drager van den verre vreemde,
zoolreinigingsmiddel bij uitstek.
